School lunches can be another learning
experience for children!
At Jack-Jill we eat healthy-interesting and tastefull meals. We try to keep a balanced diet in cooperation with our school peadiatrician.We serve a variety of healthy foods and snacks and offer vegetables and salads at each meal.
Lean meats and other good sources of protein:fish-eggs beans.Whole grains bread/cereals are also offered.Reduced fat and salt.Some of our fruit and vegetables that we eat are from our garden!
We try to encourage children to try new tastes and drink lots of water.
We also offer a great variety of breakfast and snacks.
Menu of the Week
BREAKFAST: A choice of Cereals (corn flakes,rice crispies, honey loops, bran flakes, weetabix) Yogurt, Boiled Eggs, Toast with Cheese, Spread Cheese, Bread, Rusks, Jam, Honey, Milk.
SALADS AND VEGETABLES: (some from our garden) Served with lunch.
SNACK: Fresh Fruit (in season), Dried Fruit, Vegetable Sticks, Wholemeal Buiscuits.
Macaroni pennes and vegetable sauce. Carrot/cabbage salad
Tuna rice and basmati rice. Brocolli
Bean soup/feta cheese
Chicken in the oven with roast potatoes and mustard sauce.lettuce and spring onions.
Meatballs with carrots in lemon sauce.Bread
Pastichio with beshamel and cheese sauce.Green beans.
Fish cakes in the ovenwith crispy chips. Corn and peas veg.
Lentil soup with feta cheese and bread sticks.
Homemade chicken pie. Broccoli.
Meatballs in red sauce with fluffy rice.Cabbage and carrot salad
